Virtual Revolution by BBC

Our librarian recommended us to watch the series as it is interesting in terms of social change.

I'm optimistic about this kind of social change.
When I was a kid, the target was TV. No one mentions about the influence of TV anymore.
Of course, ways of using our brain has changed, but is it severely bad?
One of the examples in the program is that we can less concentrate because the Internet distract our mind.
On the other hand, when electronic dictionary had started more popular, a teacher of mine recommended us to use paper dictionary, because you can see and learn related words surrounding  the word you want to know.

In these two cases, the reasons why we should use traditional technology are the other way around, aren't they? Needless to say, the problem is not so simple and we should think critically anytime, but being afraid of it too much seems to be unproductive sometimes.
