Drawing Fashion

I went to see an exhibition in Design Museum.
As soon as I entered the floor, the white walls made by a translucent material caught my eyes.

It covers the history of drawing in fashion from 1900. The history is one against photography. Obviously, these days the main media in fashion is photography. The role of illustration has apparently finished.

What was interesting for me was that the illustrations became abstract. It used to be the representation of reality, but it is no longer easy since photography achieves it much easier. Instead, they started to represented something photography cannot capture. Anyway I was impressed by the works of Aurore de la Morinerie and François Berthoud. The expression is quite subtle.
