Why is "Design Thinking" so successful?

I've been recently interested in naming as a way of branding. Then, I suddenly noticed that "Design Thinking" had been successful as a brand.

A couple of years ago, Tom Kelly, one of the members of IDEO, mentioned "Integrative Thinking", which has been advocated by Roger Martin, a dean of Rotman School, as not fashionable name, but I think the reason of the success might not be whether it is simply fashionable or not.

Lately, I've gradually noticed that Design Thinking does not promote the profession of designers, rather it has a possibility of dismantling it. However, the successful point is that it sounds as if it fully supported the designers' profession as it uses the word, "Design".

It might be just too much thinking, but there may be a room for argument.
